Ozzy Osbourne gave us a health update. He spoke with co-host Billy Morrison about receiving stem cell therapy for Parkinson’s disease. Spoiler alert: it’s pretty extensive! We’ve summarized what he said below.
“I’ve just come back from the doctor after having some stem cells put in me.”
“The thing is, you have it, and you go, “I don’t feel that great,” but I don’t know what it would be like if I didn’t have it.
“This stuff that I have, it’s kind of like a super fucking stem cell, you know?” he explained. “They put three bottles in me this morning.
“I had one about three months ago and this was a follow-up, and I’ve got to go in about six months from now.”
In case you’re curious, stem cells are the body’s master builders. These cells can develop into many different types, which is why scientists are so excited about their potential to treat diseases like Parkinson’s.
The idea is that by introducing stem cells into the body, they might be able to replace damaged cells or even stimulate healing. It’s still early days, but this research holds a lot of promise!
