Linkin Park announced a new female lead singer

We all remember the year 2017 when we heard about the death of Chester. Many people (myself included) thought that this marked the end of the band, because let’s be real, who can replace him, right?

After years of speculation, we finally got a new singer. Linkin Park’s new co-vocalist will be Emily Armstrong of the band “Dead Sara.” The band is best known for their single “Weatherman” from their eponymous debut album “Dead Sara.”

The new lineup debuted with a new single, “The Emptiness Machine,” at the top of the charts. Armstrong’s performance style seamlessly continues the band’s legacy: Her powerful vocals recall Bennington without attempting to mimic him, as evidenced on the second song of the set, “Somewhere I Belong.”

“This is a very special day for us,” Shinoda said as he introduced the band, mentioning that guitarist Alex Feder was filling in for Delson for the night. “In a way, each of you is Chester Bennington today,” Shinoda addressed the crowd.
