Five Finger Death Punch (5FDP) has proven to be more than just a rock band. Their recent $200,000 donation from their North American tour to two worthy causes underscores their commitment to giving back to the community.
Supporting Youth and Homelessness
Singer Ivan Moody chose Covenant House, a nonprofit dedicated to helping homeless, trafficked, and exploited youth. This aligns with the band’s commitment to social issues, as evidenced by their music video for “Judgement Day,” which highlighted youth homelessness. Moody himself has been open about his struggles with addiction and has established the Ciara Coral Intensive Outpatient Program to help others in recovery.
Honoring Veterans
Guitarist Zoltan Bathory selected the Call of Duty Endowment, an organization that assists veterans in finding employment. Bathory’s connection to the military is strong, having been featured as an in-game operator in “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II” and “Call of Duty: Warzone.”
A Legacy of Giving Back
5FDP has a long history of philanthropic endeavors, supporting various causes including veteran’s organizations, first responders, and those struggling with addiction. The band has performed at military bases worldwide, employed veterans in their crew, and donated proceeds from their music to support these causes. Their 2014 hit song “Wrong Side of Heaven” brought awareness to the struggles of veterans suffering from PTSD and raised over $300,000 for related organizations. In 2016, the band was honored with the prestigious Soldier Appreciation Award by the Association of the United States Army.
Through their music, their actions, and their influence, 5FDP continues to inspire and make a positive impact on the world.
