Jake E. Lee, renowned guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne and Badlands, was shot multiple times in a random attack in Las Vegas.

Legendary rock guitarist Jake E. Lee, known for his work with Ozzy Osbourne, Badlands, and Red Dragon Cartel, was shot multiple times in a random attack in Las Vegas early Tuesday morning. Lee is currently hospitalized in intensive care but is expected to make a full recovery.

The shooting occurred around 2:40 a.m. while Lee was walking his dog. Las Vegas authorities believe the incident was completely random and are investigating the matter.

Ozzy Osbourne expressed his shock and concern upon hearing the news. “It’s been 37 years since I’ve seen Jake E. Lee, but that still doesn’t take away from the shock of hearing what happened to him today,” Ozzy said in a statement to TMZ. “I send my thoughts to him and his beautiful daughter, Jade. I just hope he’ll be OK.”

Lee, who replaced the late Randy Rhoads in Ozzy Osbourne’s band, played on two of the singer’s albums: 1983’s “Bark At The Moon” and 1986’s “The Ultimate Sin.”
