Korn’s Jonathan Davis Reflects on 30 Years of Their Debut Album

On the 30th anniversary of Korn’s self-titled debut album, frontman Jonathan Davis took to social media to express his gratitude and pride.

“I can’t believe you’re 30 years old,” Davis wrote, sharing the album’s cover art. “I’m so proud of this record. It changed so many things in my life.”

Reflecting on his younger self, Davis recalled the vulnerability he felt in sharing his personal struggles through the album’s lyrics. “It’s so incredible it helped so many with their journey through the darkness we all know so well,” he said.

Davis also expressed his appreciation for the band’s members and producer Ross Robinson, who captured the raw emotion and intensity of the album. He thanked the fans for their enduring support, stating, “It gave me strength and this amazing feeling I wasn’t alone in all this.”

To mark the 30th anniversary, Korn performed a special show at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on October 5th, featuring a lineup of notable guests including Evanescence, Gojira, Daron Malakian and Scars on Broadway, Spiritbox, and Vended.
