In a recent interview with Ryan on 97.7 QLZ radio, LIFE OF AGONY guitarist Joseph Zampella (a.k.a. Joey Z) discussed the possibility of a follow-up to the band’s 2019 album, ‘The Sound of Scars.’ He mentioned that the band’s recent single, ‘The Crow (In Memory of B.L.),’ has given them a boost.
‘We’re a band that relies on creative magic,’ Zampella said. ‘We have a lot of plans for 2025, so we’ll be spending a lot of time together. That means we’ll likely discuss new music and share ideas. It happens all the time.’
Regarding a full-length album, Zampella explained, ‘Timing plays a big role for us. We have a lot of plans, including some major tours being announced soon. One exciting announcement is our ‘Ugly’ album 30th-anniversary tour. We did a successful ‘River Runs Red’ anniversary tour last year, and fans have been asking for an ‘Ugly’ tour.
‘We’re also doing a really cool co-headlining tour that I can’t reveal yet,’ Zampella continued. ‘The band is amazing, and the artwork is being finalized. Our bass player, Alan Robert, is an incredible artist and he’s working on the tour visuals. We’re planning European shows, and depending on their success, we might bring the tour to America as well.’
Zampella concluded by saying, ‘I’m excited about these upcoming projects, but I’m not allowed to talk about the co-headlining tour just yet.’
