New York hardcore legends Sick of It All frontman Lou Koller is preparing to undergo surgery after being diagnosed with an esophageal tumor.
In a video update shared on social media, Koller provided a positive update. He shared that the chemotherapy treatment, despite its side effects, appears to have been successful. “The tumor is said to be dead flesh,” he explained. “The cancer has not spread.”
Koller is scheduled for an eight-hour surgery on Thursday to remove the affected area. He expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of support from fans. “Thank you again for all your support, prayers, well wishes, the gifts, the financial support, as always,” he said. “I’ll let you know how it goes. See ya.”
