Lynyrd Skynyrd has canceled several concerts due to singer Johnny Van Zant’s daughter’s sudden emergency illness. On Tuesday, September 24, the legendary Southern rock group announced that their Anchorage, Alaska show was being postponed due to a medical emergency. Van Zant had learned his daughter was undergoing emergency surgery.
The band subsequently canceled four additional shows: West Valley, Utah on September 26; Loveland, Colorado on September 27; Colorado Springs, Colorado on September 28; and Albuquerque, New Mexico on September 29.
We at Metaltomb wish Johnny Van Zant and his daughter the best and hope for a speedy recovery.
