Dennis Thompson, the last surviving member of the MC5, has passed away. The cause of death has not been specified, but he suffered a heart attack in April. He was undergoing rehabilitation at the time of his death at the age of 75.
It’s sad to see legends go. Thompson’s death comes just three months after the passing of Wayne Kramer, the band’s guitarist. The group was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, with the ceremony scheduled for October in Cleveland. Unfortunately, they won’t be able to attend, which is a missed opportunity and a shame.
Our thoughts are with Thompson’s family, friends, and fans during this difficult time. His drumming will continue to inspire musicians for generations to come
