Thrash metal icons Slayer have opened the doors to their new online museum, Slaytanic Verses, inviting fans on a deep dive into over four decades of brutal, malevolent, and inhumanly fast thrash.
In partnership with Definitive Authentic/Inveniem, this exclusive virtual museum offers a behind-the-scenes look at rare memorabilia from the band’s personal archives. For those yearning for the thrill of a Slayer concert, the museum’s first collection, “Live Assaults: 1981 Through Today,” will evoke memories of past shows and provide a new perspective, taking fans backstage with items dating back to the band’s 1981 inception in Huntington Park, California. This collection will be continually updated with new artifacts and stories from Slayer’s worldwide tours.
Slaytanic Verses is a virtual journey through Slayer’s amazing 40-plus years of mayhem, exploring different facets of the band’s career. Fans are encouraged to check back often for new collections and artifacts.
Throughout Slayer’s history, the band has remained true to their extreme and focused sonic assault, steadfastly refusing to cater to the mainstream. Slayer’s founding member, guitarist Jeff Hanneman, passed in 2013, and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt has been filling in for him since. Paul Bostaph, Slayer’s drummer from 1994 to 2001, rejoined bassist/vocalist Tom Araya and guitarist Kerry King in 2013 and is back behind the kit to the very last show.
Welcome to the Slaytanic Verses, where the official Slayer archives are shared with you – the most diabolical and diehard fans in existence. Slaytanic Verses is packed with deep dives and rare, behind-the-scenes glimpses into Slayer history. Here, fans will discover real stories and have access to exclusive, authenticated collectibles directly from the band. Photos, gear, artwork, instruments, and first-hand accounts collected over decades will guide you through the band’s journey.
This is just the beginning. The Slaytanic Verses archive and collectibles store will continue to expand, offering even more from the conquests and chaos of Slayer’s indelible legacy.
All hail Slayer.
